On Pitfalls in Accuracy Verification Using Time-Dependent Problems

In this short note, we discuss the circumstances that can lead to a failure observe design order of discretization error convergence in accuracy verification when solving time-dependent problem. particular, problem failing spatial with an extremely small time step. The same is encountered even if step reduced grid refinement. These cause serious because then one would wind up trying find coding does not exist. This note clarifies mechanism causing and provides guide for avoiding such pitfalls
